After losing to Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend, Platinum Stars can now focus on the league, a priority at this stage. Willem Jackson, who just been appointed as the Coach after Allan Freese was put on special leave really worked well with the team when they played Sundowns. Stars will not be able to contest for the Nedbank Cup this season, meaning that they only have the league to work hard for, as they are sitting at position 13 on the log.

“At this point we are faced with reality of us sitting at the bottom and it is up to us to make sure we leave that spot. We have really played well, and I am looking at motivating the players to move forward and work hard. Nedbank Cup was a great opportunity but it was not our priority, we just had to make sure we represent the club well, which I think we have. Sundowns was not an easy side, but we gave them a run for their money, we have. Many thanks to the supporters that came through to support us on that day, we are grateful. Now, we have a break and we must utilise it to our best advantage, the journey is still on” Willem Jackson commentes.

Now that it is Fifa Weeks for the next two weeks, Dikwena must work hard as they have Ajax Cape Town as a visiting team at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on 4th April 2015.
