Platinum Stars coach will leave the country for Botswana this Friday.
Cavin Johnson’s men will square off against Township Rollers in a friendly match at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday evening. Dikwena coach Cavin Johnson tells Platinumstars.com that he will have one eye on his men and another eye on the opposition.
\"It\'s always good to play Township Rollers. We have a good relationship with them. Besides playing the game, we will look and see if there are players that we need. We did get Tsotso Ngele from Rollers. It\'s always good to see if we can get another player of that caliber. That’s one of the reasons why we are heading to Botswana. We also want to give some of the players that have not been playing some game time,\" said Johnson.
Dikwena are currently campaigning in three competitions – the Absa Premiership, the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Confederation Cup.
\"We are playing in CAF so it’s good for us to play outside South Africa. It\'s good to always take the players that are not playing as often as we like them to play so that they can go out and experience the world of Africa as well.\"
After facing Rollers, Johnson and his men will face Bidvest Wits away on April 01. Johnson is bracing himself for a tough clash when they visit Johannesburg. Wits are also in the CAF Confederation Cup.
\"I expect a tough one from Wits because they look like they can be Absa Premiership title contenders. Besides them playing in CAF, they have got one eye on the league so it’s going to be difficult for us,\" said Johnson.
Johnson has also given an update on Luvo Mpeta, who is still out of action.
\"Luvo is almost there. He has got two more weeks and he will be alright. Everybody else is okay,\" said Johnson.
The kickoff for Dikwena against Township Rollers is 7pm.
