We know what is at stake - Mere
Platinum Stars captain Vuyo Mere has declared war ahead of Dikwena\'s do or die clash against MC Alger in Group B of CAF Confederation Cup tonight.
Dikwena are at the bottom of the group with two points and anything less than victory tonight could spell end of the road for Mere and his teammates. Mere tells that his troops are ready to battle for the three points against the Algerians tonight.

\"A win is very crucial. We want to give ourselves a chance so that when we finish with three points other teams can do us favours. We have to focus on winning this game. We are playing away so the atmosphere won’t be the same. We know about their supporters who will be out in numbers. It’s not going to be easy. We are expecting a tough game,\" said Mere.

\"Everything went according to plan. We did everything I think we should do. We did homework on them and hopefully we will go out tonight and do what the coaches have planned. We are ready from players’ perspective. We know what is at stake. We are bottom of the log and we want to improve our chances of going to the quarterfinals. It’s going to be a hard game and hopefully we will do well.\"

In the first leg in Rustenburg, Dikwena drew 1-1 with MC Alger, who are at the top of Group B. Mere says they will go all out in order to get a win this time around.

\"We are hopeful. Every game that we play in, we are competing. We want to do well for ourselves and the team. We are coming up with a positive mind. Hopefully we get the three points and go home happy,\" said Mere.

Kickoff is at 10pm.
